I know it’s summer, but its already in the triple digits for multiple days now with no real relief in sight. All the more need to put that grill to work. When its hot, I just don’t feel like getting too fancy. I want something easy and delicious. Most people don’t think about grilling turkey, but they should. It is very tasty on the grill and can be as versatile as your imagination.
I generally don’t care much for chicken breast. I’m a thigh girl. Grew up in a big family and that was what my mom fixed. Life with a budget and lots of mouths to feed. I was surprised how turkey breast, when grilled, is moist and succulent. My two carnivores think it is wonderful.
A simple marinade of your favorite salad dressing is all that is required. Even my husband can to this one without much thought. I used a Caesar dressing because I like the flavor. You can do this with almost any dressing you like. After grilling slice it up and serve it over greens or with garlic marinated broccoli, a favorite for us.
You’ll need:
2-3 turkey tenderloins or skinless boneless chicken breasts
a bottle of Caesar salad dressing (or your favorite) use enough to coat meat well
1 gal ziplock bag
Place turkey in bag. Add dressing. Zip closed after removing as much air as possible. Place in refrigerator to marinate for 4-8 hrs. Remove from frig and allow to warm for at least 30 minutes. Heat your grill to 450F.
Cook on well greased grill (my husband suggested using your grilling basket like you would for fish) for 10-12 minutes per side. Remove from heat and let rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing. Enjoy!
