My name is Leigh. I live in the Midwest. I’m a mother, wife, scientist, cook, gardener, handy”man”, and do-it-yourselfer; listed in order of priorities, not preferences.
I believe that if you have a willingness to listen and desire to learn, you can accomplish….just about anything. I learned to fix my lawnmower, tiller and (I kid you not) my vacuum cleaner. I raised two boys who listen and think (well, most of the time).
I remodeled most of my house myself, including the kitchen you see here.
I love to cook but work full-time. If you want to eat well and don’t have all day. Please check this place out. It is possible to have your cake and eat it too!
Thanks Leigh 😉 I really enjoy looking through your blog. Keep the post coming!
Hi Leigh! I’m Mila and my blog about cooking too:) I like your photos and recipes!
Thanks! I like your site as well. Keep up the good work!

Thank you very much.
Hello Leigh. That is an awesome job on the kitchen. It is a pleasure to “meet” a multi-talented Mom! 🙂
You’re making me blush! Thank you!
Hi hi! I just nominated your blog for a Liebster Award!!! You can learn more about the Liebster Award here: http://theafterschoolchef.wordpress.com/2013/04/05/nominated-for-what/
Thought you deserved some love and recognition!
Thank you very much.
I like to fix things too. I learned to fix my toilets and many other things around the house. Hey if you fix my lawn mower, I’ll fix your toilet!
I have nominated you for the Liebster Award. Click this link for instructions on how to accept this award. Congratulations! http://marcellarousseau.wordpress.com/?p=3285&preview=true
Thank you.
You didn’t list an awsome sister in your bio, but you are. Loved what you wrote about mom.
She was always quite proud of you. Your letters to her were special. Thank you.
Leigh, I LOVE your site and your kick-ass attitude (excuse the French, please!) You are after my own heart with your do-it-yourself views. I am back and running with the foodarella cookbook project and am thrilled to feature one of your recipes. Keep up the great work and I will be in touch!
Great thoughts (with cilantro!)

I absolutely love your philosophy…… If you have the willingness, you can indeed do anything in life!
